Shadow was founded by carwash insiders who wanted better replacement parts. So they made their parts out of steel – a legitimate advantage. NCS acquired Shadow and then did a brand overhaul to bring that edge and attitude forward. Given carte blanche to shape the voice, I wrote the website in a “challenger brand” voice.
